Having proclaimed The Doors as the most overrated band of all time, I feel compelled to admit that I enjoyed hearing Roadhouse Blues this morning. It was 5am. Or maybe I have a weakness for any song that mentions beer for breakfast (thank you Kris Kristofferson). There’s nothing special about the song. Typical 12 bar blues. But it is less pretentious and pseudo-groovy than other of their songs. I find Morrison more believable. Anyway, confessions of a grumpy old man. But maybe it is just the cold I am fighting.
